近期第四次皇后交響樂團青少年協奏曲比賽 (Queens Symphony Orchestra Young Soloist
Competition), 最後大決賽將於三月二十五日下午四時假皇后區法拉盛台灣會館 (137-44 Northern Blvd., Flushing

當天宣佈比賽結果, 並頒發獎金與獎狀. 每組各錄取三名,獲贈獎金, 各組第一及第二名得獎者, 將受邀擔任協奏曲獨奏家演出於皇后交響樂團2012-2013年度音樂會,. 此與職業交響樂團合作之殊榮, 為每位青少演奏家所嚮往的難得機會!
經過十一年的間斷, 皇后交響樂團青少年協奏曲比賽, 2009年起. 公開徵求青年組和少年組樂器獨奏家參賽. 許多高水準之少年組與青年組音樂學生踴躍報名, 經激烈的初賽,複賽與決賽受審之後,兩組獲勝的前三名將取得獎金之外, 各組的第一及第二名將受邀與與皇后交響樂團於2012-2013 年度音樂會中演出. 2010年和2011 年青年組冠軍分別為:陳南呈和 柯容軒 均為來自台灣, 留學紐約的傑出大提琴家.
今年決賽評審委員包括:目前百老匯 熱門音樂劇 ”蓋西文: 乞丐與蕩婦 (Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess)” 指揮, 亦是皇后交響樂團音樂總監, 康斯坦丁. 柯蘇普樂斯(Constantine
Kitsopoulos); 該樂團首席小提琴家 Masako Yanagita;大提琴首席 David Moore; 與國際著名IMG Artists藝術經紀公司代表等權威人士.
皇后交響樂團為皇后區唯一的職業交響樂團, 其理事會與團員特別感謝:台灣會館 ( Taiwan Center) ,大紐約區台灣同鄉會(Taiwanese American Association of New York), 皇后大學柯布蘭音樂學院(Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens

Young Soloist Competition Final Round Recital(YSC2012)
Queens Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce our prestigious 2012
Young Soloist Competition Final Round Recital. The final round of this
competition will be held as a public recital at theTaiwan Center
in Flushing on March 25, 2012 at 4 pm, after which the
winners will be announced to the audience.
In addition to cash prizes, the first and second place winners of both the
senior and junior divisions will be invited to perform with QSO during the
2012-2013 season. The judges will include a
representative from IMG Artists; Constantine Kitsopoulos,
QSO Music Director; David Moore, QSO Principal Cellist and Masako Yanagita, QSO Concertmaster. This is truly an
opportunity for our gifted youth to be heard by leading members of the
industry and perform with the only professional orchestra in the borough of
Queens!
Tickets to this event are $10 each and are available for purchase on our
website, by phone by calling the QSO Office at 718-570-0909 or at the door
the day of the recital. PURCHASED TICKETS WILL BE RESERVED FOR PICK-UP AT
THE BOX OFFICE THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
